I have to do something to interrupt him if I intend to be in the vicinity for any length of time or drives me batty. I get Strong standing at a workbench just constantly running through his lines. So maybe not a "bug", just limitation of the engine. I think that's the game recalculating and resetting scripts or something so they can continue about their business. I get the children of the corn creepy thing going on with settlers. everything is like moving through molasses. But yeah, there are time when they hang, or run very slow. I have a tendency to alt-tab out of games and leave them running in the background, sometimes for days. But I'm guessing that was because I had the game running for hours and hours. I've had maybe one or two times the game hung. Closing them and waiting a few seconds would show normal windows. I cannot interact with them, just exit the trade or store window. I'll talk to someone to trade or engage a shopkeeper and the inventory and store stock panes are empty. This is not to say there are no bugs there definitely are bugs.

I don't even know what "screen target shifts" means. Usually swithcing weapons or hitting esc or even alt-tab will resolve them. But I've never needed to reload to resolve. The first two have happened numerous time. So what you're saying is you haven't played any other Fallout games? The Fat Man is the most entertaining heavy weapon to use, because it does what most heavy weapons in FO4 fail to do: deliver high damage in visceral form.It feels much like the Junk Jet shooting a bowling ball instead of a freakin' cannon. The Broadsider sounded really cool on paper, but in practice I find it underwhelming too.The Flamer can wreck dudes, but I can't find a steady source of ammo for it.The badaboom spot is occupied by the Fat Man, so apparently they've decided to make missiles little more than exploding bullets. I'll never be able to shake that feeling. If I hit most things directly with a missile, they should die. The missile launchers, including quad-barreled Partystarter, all feel underwhelming.

As it stands, it's a pointless weapon, because ammo for all real weapons together isn't scarce enough to require shooting junk. This would give you incentive to pick up more massive junk in the game world. The sound of impact should scale with damage. Fixing it would be easy:ĭamage should scale based on the object shot from it shooting a bowling ball should do way more damage than a teddy bear. It feels limp, just like its F03 counterpart.

The Minigun behaves as you would expect, wrecking dudes while gulping ammo.
#FALLOTU 4 ALTTAB CRASH FULL#
Power armor, one or more of melee, big guns, full auto.Īlso, has anyone played with armor piercing? I never used it because of the damage reduction. Now that I've gone through once that way I'm thinking of trying a more Rambo approach. My first playthrough of a FO game I always fall into stealth, sniping and semi-auto guns. Full auto (I've seen some negative comments here already) This is in addition to all the usual crap, like objects falling into the floor, people showing up on roofs, cows in houses that cant get through the door, objects flying around the room when affected, etc. the night vision effect from a scope stays permanently, really hard to look at (fixed with console 'rimod 002041B6') arriving at Sanctuary Hills and watching everything, even the crops, break (for some reason, sleeping for 12 - 24 hours fixes this) opening the map causes the game to crash (rendering the desktop screen black so you can't kill the process, requiring a reboot) screen targets shift, making so clicking on things and aim weapons is difficult (need to restart game) Pip Boy menu becomes invisible (need to load saved game) held weapons become invisible (need to load saved game) The other had glitches and weird shit, but this one has had the most bugs that directly affected the player I've ever seen. I have to say, this is by far the buggiest Fallout I've played so far.
